Liat Friedman is honored to serve as the Director of Jewish Student Life at Mason Hillel. Originally from White Plains, NY, Liat earned her bachelor’s degree in Art with a concentration in Digital Design and a minor in Theater from The City College of New York. She holds certificates in Jewish Leadership from Spertus and in DEI. Prior to joining Mason Hillel, Liat was the Springboard Innovation Fellow at Queens College Hillel. During her undergraduate years at City College, Liat served on the Hillel Board for three years, including one year as President.​ Liat is dedicated to building inclusive pluralistic Jewish communities.

 

Outside of work, Liat enjoys time with her husband, Adam Bershad, doing graphic design and arts and crafts projects, singing, and spending time with friends.

Liat looks forward to bringing her passion and skills to Mason Hillel, enriching the campus community, and supporting Jewish students in their journeys.
