Dawn is thrilled to be a part of the Mason Hillel team as the Executive Director. Originally from outside of Richmond, VA, she received her Bachelor's of Psychology from James Madison University (Go Dukes!) and her Masters of Arts in Higher Educator and Student Affairs from the University of Connecticut. Dawn brings a background in student leadership development, organizational management, and a desire to connect Jewish students to enriching experiences.

 

Prior to coming to Mason Hillel, Dawn served as the Assistant Director at the University of Maryland Hillel for four and a half years and has spent time in various student affairs departments at Penn State University and Texas A&M University-Victoria (formerly University of Houston-Victoria). Outside of work, Dawn loves exploring the outdoors with her husband Parker and tripod Alaskan husky Goose. She is looking forward to connecting with Mason students, faculty/staff, and the local community!
